We are thrilled to share some incredible news—this is a truly remarkable moment for our center! Thanks to the generous donation from BraveryBridge (braverybridge.com) we have received 30 brand-new tablets!
With this amazing gift, we have now set up a multifunctional media room, opening up endless opportunities for our students. These tablets will be used for online learning, providing personalized educational experiences tailored to each individual's interests and abilities. Our students can now enjoy audiobooks, interactive learning games, visual and color training, and reaction-based activities, enriching their learning journey like never before.
We are beyond grateful to BraveryBridge for playing such a crucial role in our growth and development. Your generosity is making a lasting impact on our students’ lives!

Today, we celebrated the Lunar New Year with a joyful dumpling-making event! Everyone joined in to prepare two delicious fillings—chicken & corn and beef—while sharing laughter and festive spirit. It was a beautiful moment of togetherness, culture, and joy.

Santa’s Workshop 🎅☃️

Today our clients went on a trip to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa Claus! From motorboats to elves, we saw everything and took pictures in front of Santa’s Workshop! Everyone had a fantastic time, also lounging in front of the fireplace and making friends with a dog named Lucille! ❤️

Halloween at True Love was a BLAST! From witches, to astronauts, to pumpkins— Everyone put their SPOOKY on! Games with one another, eating a cake with a ghost on it, and trick-or-treating around the community was the Best. Experience. Ever… for everyone!
Just People Organization

The social event hosted by True Love Center and Just People Organization was a great success! The event featured delicious food trucks, amazing ice cream, and an incredible performance by the DJ band. Everyone couldn't help but join the dancing, and each person made new friends. The whole event was filled with energy and surprises. A special thank you to all the staff at Just People and the new friends—we truly appreciated your warm hospitality and smiling faces, which made for an incredibly joyful and beautiful day.
Car Wash

So excited! We've started learning job skills with car washing. Everyone had clear tasks, and our first team collaboration was incredibly efficient. We finished quickly and with high quality, far exceeding our expectations. Everyone is thrilled and filled with a great sense of accomplishment!

We had made plans before setting off. At 10 o'clock, everyone departed together and went to Kroger. Each person was responsible for buying a snack they liked. Then, we headed out for a picnic, chatting and enjoying snacks while taking in the lakeside scenery. It was truly a fulfilling and beautiful day. 🏕️

ABC Art Pottery Shop Trip 🎨

We visited a pottery shop together, where our clients individually picked out styles, shaped our creations, and chose the colors themselves. By the time Mother's Day comes around, we'll be able to personally present these handmade gifts to our moms. 🎁
Self-Serve Yogurt Shop Trip 🍨

Taking members to a self-serve yogurt shop (Yogli Mogli) was a fun activity. They got to choose their own flavors, operate the machines to dispense the yogurt, and handle the payment themselves. Our teachers were on hand to assist and guide them, allowing them to experience the entire purchasing process. This yogurt shop is great, and I recommend everyone to give it a try.

Today at our center, we were graced with the melodious tunes of a violin, thanks to Zongbo Liu (Danny), the talented son of our staff member Mr. Liu. Danny, a high school student at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, has been honing his violin skills for four years. He chose to share his passion with us as a volunteer.
As Danny performed various pieces, our clients were visibly thrilled, engaged, and joyous. It was a beautiful reminder of the unique, soothing power of music. The live performance not only entertained but also brought a sense of calm and happiness to everyone present.
Danny shared his happiness about playing for us and is eagerly looking forward to returning with more delightful performances in the future. It’s moment like this that add a special touch to our days, proving that music truly is a universal language that connects and heals.
Forsyth County Fire Station Visit 🚒

Forsyth County Fire Station 6 extended a warm invitation for us to explore their facility, and Fireman Zach provided an engaging tour of their fully equipped BIG RED truck! From an array of small hand tools to giant machine tools, from compact hoses to expansive ones, and long ladders atop the truck, the inventory left a lasting impression. The experience was not only eye-opening but also educational and thoroughly enjoyable for all of us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated firemen at Forsyth County Fire Station, saluting them for their unwavering dedication and service. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! 🫡

The incredible individuals at our center enjoyed a delightful excursion to a nearby pumpkin farm! Their priceless expressions of joy filled the air as they explored and embraced the autumn beauty around them.
This outing was more than just a day away; it served as a vital social training opportunity, imparting and reinforcing crucial skills. It serves as a poignant reminder of how important it is for everyone, including our differently-abled adults, to participate in and relish the enriching experiences our society has to offer.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jaemor Farms for their warm hospitality and accommodation. Together, we are creating lasting memories and showcasing that everyone deserves to be woven into the vibrant fabric of our community.
Pizza Day Out 🍕

Our field trip took us to SliceAbility, which is an excellent pizza restaurant that provides employment opportunities for individuals with special needs. We led our clients on a tour to understand how they operate. It was truly a remarkable experience, as we guided our clients through the entire process of ordering, payment, dining, and cleaning up, among other things.
This is a supportive community, and we look forward to more communities offering employment opportunities and job training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Let's work together to create a more fulfilling life for individuals with special needs.
